The meals they cooked us were so delicious that I had to ask for the soup recipe when we left. They happily answered all of our questions about the island and their culture. We even got to see Mario dance in the Fiesta de Santiago, which was incredible!

The Celso family was amazingly kind and we had a really good time exchanging with them. Taquile is a really pretty island, I definitely recommand to spend a night there.

For lunch dinner and breakfast Lucrecia cooks delicious and healthy meals that we loved. Spending some time there has been truly relaxing and one to one with nature and local culture! Note on how to arrive: Easily grab a local bus “collectivo” from Puno to Capachica and then take a local boat from Chifforn Port to Amantaní. Then either you walk 1+ hours or take a ride with the motorbike that are available at the port waiting (very cool experience)

Amazing view of the lake, especially at sunrise. Great food with most ingredients coming from their own garden or friends and family on the island. And most importantly the hosts are just the most amazing family, always friendly and with love in their eyes. Also they're really good at communicating with people like me that speak only un poquito español. The position of the place on Google maps is off by 200m or so which can make it hard to find, so in case they haven't fixed it yet, here's the correct coordinates: 15°40'10.4"S 69°42'24.7"W
