Originally built in 1875, The Portree Hotel is situated on the corner of Portree's main street and overlooks Somerled Square, the town’s main square. The location was excellent, right at the center of Portree. The room was extremely cozy and had amazing views. We were surprised with how close we were from all the amenities of the town, from the supermarket, pharmacy, local pubs, restaurants, everything very very close by. From the hotel we were also able to very easily travel all around the Isle of Skye.

The cottages are super cute and cozy! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. They work really hard and it shows. The kitchen made me a vegetarian dish to accommodate a food allergy which was amazing. Dan in the bar makes some great cocktails. Not only is he knowledgeable about scotch, he makes the best amaretto sours I’ve ever had.

The view is ASTOUNDING !! It's on a very quiet part of Isle of Skye away from the hustle and bustle of Portree and hence it felt like a world on its own. The rooms are clean and spacious with very nice decoration that makes one feel very grand staying in it. The surrounding landscape is breathtaking. We even saw a wild deer hopping across our path driving in. The breakfast is very good. Most delicious. Best haggis and blood pudding that I have tasted. Mum love the French toast and claims it's the best she tasted in all her travels. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They really made us feel so welcome. Initially I was concerned the location was so far off. But the view and service level is all worth it. Luna the resident dog is so friendly too and delighted the kids so much. This is THE place to stay in skye. Worth every dollar spent.

Large room in a great location - we could not have asked for a better spot in Portree. Additionally, we had an amazing view and were able to get in for dinner the night we arrived and it was very delicious. This hotel is right off the water and there are 3 car parks within 100 yards, one of which is completely free if you can get a spot, the others are free after 6pm-8am (you will likely be driving around exploring anyway, so that was not an issue for us!). The staff was helpful.

The apartment was so secluded.and peaceful, our own space in and around the cabin. The hot tub was an amazing feature and the showers ran hot. We had some cute neighbors - sheep and a horse. It was wonderful waking up to their faces!

We had a great stay. We were able to rent sleeping bags. Pillows were already provided. Though the pictures make the pods look small, we had plenty of space for our stuff and our large suitcase. The pod did get a little stuffy but it had several windows to open. We had contact with the host through the messaging feature on booking. Their replies were very fast and very friendly. Would return here again in the future!

A truly special stay. The Eco Bells are beautiful, the interiors are so quaint with great attention to detail. I felt so rejuvenated after my stay. Switching off, lighting my little fire and looking up at the stars was so special. Also a special mention to Derry who taught me all about football and which berries not to eat!
