Amazing location, a little bit unusual breakfast deal, you get the food in the evening and keep it in the fridge. But it was nice. I liked it, the muffin was very good and you can eat in bed.

Food in the pub was fabulous we ate there both nights and there was a great and varied selection on the menu. Room was very comfortable and very clean and toiletries smelt amazing! Already looking to book again!

A mitja nit es va disparar l’alarma d’incendis donant-nos un gran ensurt. Va ser una falsa alarma i la van apagar però ningú ens va donar explicacions i ningú ens va demanar disculpes per l’ensurt terrible de que et desperti una alarma brutal. La ubicació és molt bona per excursions al peak District

The location is fantastic and the staff and owners make any stay extremely enjoyable. The rooms are very comfortable and modern and the food is locally sourced and delicious. Given the location, the Barrel can get very busy, but the peace and beauty to wake up in such a location is unbeatable!

It was good but recommend the English breakfast, waffles a bit disappointing as was the porridge, but w’nice environment, on the whole good. Rooms lovely, staff lovely, dinner wonderful!
