In the small village of Sheering, this family run Public House offers 12 en-suite bedrooms. The Cock Inn is a family run free house that has been run by the Bedford family for over 20 years. Amazing place, great people and hospitality, lovely breakfast. The personnel was very helpful, if you need to book a taxi and flexible so to stay in your room a little bit longer. We loved the vibe of this hotel. Overall, very clean and in the room you can fin everything you need, the hairdryer, iron even holy bible.

The George Hotel Stansted Airport ligger i ett värdshus från 1300-talet mitt i staden Bishop Stortford, endast 10 minuters bilfärd från flygplatsen Stansted. Värdinnan hade uppgraderat oss på eget bevåg trots att vi bara skulle stanna en halv natt pga att vi skulle med flyget. Hon var uppe när vi kom och hjälpsam och trevlig. Rummet var lugnt liksom byn och låg nära till nattbussen till flygplatsen. Dagtid går det tåg till flygplatsen.

Det 600 år gamla värdshuset White Hart Hotel ligger mittemot den världsberömda katedralen och klostret i centrala St Albans. We had a house full of baggage and nothing was ever too much to help us from the staff. A very family friendly and lovely hotel/pub setting. We were helped by a lovely gentlemen and any request was met with a way he could solve our problems. The room was a very large family room with great facilities for our little kiddies. The accomodation and surrounds is your typical old school English Tudor house which was lovely and just what we need after close to 30 hours of travel. Close to the city centre by foot and an ample of food choices or other pubs on your doorstep. Parking is possible at this place too as well as breakfast. Highly recommend this place, probably a lot easier if you have less bags, unlike us.

The lady who prepared our room went above and beyond. She really took the time to make sure we felt looked after. The pub was closed for an event for a few hours and she even came down to make sure we weren't hungry and offered us to have some food made up especially. I wish I'd asked her name as it's rare to get service like that these days! Beautiful room and location too. We will certainly be staying again!
