Very beautifull, traditional house with a cosy kitchen. The rooms are really nice. Very close to the trainstation. Good place to stay if you are planning to do the Nakasendo hike. The host is super nice and very helpfull.

A spacious and beautifully decorated Japanese-style room.  Meals at the level of Michelin stars.  The food is delicious to the mouth and to the eyes as well.  A welcoming hostess.  Breathtaking view.  What else does a person need to have fun?  We really enjoyed staying here.

Featuring mountain views, Guest House Hinode offers accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a shared lounge, around 2.6 km from Takayama Station. Host was very kind and so welcoming. Lovely property cozy and clean, we felt like home. All of the amenities has instruction label. Very clean and homely. Lively pets around, which was a welcomed change :) A 30 min walk from Gifu JR, hosts happily dropped us to the station at checkout. I believe you can organise pick up and drop off with the host. Regardless, a 30 min walk on flat ground is completely possible and should not deter anyone. However there is a local line which is 13 min walk from the house.
