We stayed in the queen suite, and the room was huge. It surpassed our expectations by far. We stayed in 4 different hotels on this trip 3 of the 4 were Hampton Inn's. We had a 1 night stay at a different chain hotel and quickly realized Hampton Inn's are far better for the same price. The Hampton Inn & Suites in Richmond, IN, was our favorite hotel of the trip.

Having the Tesla charger on property was a lifesaver. It was 2° when I woke up to leave the hotel, and having the charger plugged in and heating my car during the night. It’s rare to find a hotel chain that has EV chargers and I complement you for having them.

Richmond, Indiana, is a small city in farm country on the Ohio border. It is a nice place with friendly people.
I went there to see the 2024 total eclipse of the sun but learned along the way that there are at least four places of interest in town and nearby that seemed worth visiting. Because of bad weather after the eclipse, I visited only the first of the four, the arboretum, for which there was no charge to enter.
1. The arboretum (in town, about two miles from the motel)
2. The Model T car museum (in town)
3. A site where Ordovician fossils are said to be common and can be collected (nearby)
4. The birthplace of one of the Wright brothers (about an hour away by car)

I love this town, but I grew up here.
I love this town, but I grew up here. It's changed a lot over the years, but I still love to come back every chance I get. There are lots of things to do, but the parks are beautiful, the historical museum is amazing and the people are wonderful!

This was a hidden gem!
This was a hidden gem! I wish all the Comfort Inns were like this. The hotel smelled clean, looked stylish and was a great value for what you got. The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet and COMFORTABLE! I actually slept well that night. The breakfast was delicious. I would absolutely stay here again.

Sorry, but we just stayed the night on our way to our final destination. The town seemed very nice as we were driving through. There are lots of options for dining, and there was easy access to shopping and the highways.

My friend and I stayed 3 nights in Richmond to experience Antique Trail No. 1 and we really enjoyed ourselves. We definitely had plenty to do during our stay. Absolutely everyone we encountered, from restaurant workers, hotel workers, store clerks, were so very nice, friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed seeing some beautiful old homes as we went around the city. Easy to drive in also.
The gentleman that served breakfast(Richard) was awesome! He was very attentive to all guest and made each of us feel important! He is definitely an asset to your hotel. The staff was friendly and my room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a little outdated. My family and I stayed here about 3 years ago. We had a very bad experience and I refuse to come back. After reading some of you recent reviews I decided to give you another chance and I am glad I did. We visit Richmond about 2 times a year and will be staying here again.
Nothing. The first room furniture was knocked over, the room was unlocked and I went to wash my hands and water went all over the floor from a crack in the sink.
The guy at the desk changed my room and the second one smelled musty and like weed. The floors were dirty in both. I asked for a refund and went to Comfort Inn.
The whole hotel smelled damp and moldy. This was literally the worst place I have ever walked into.

I was looking for the most okay hotel at the lowest price. This fit the bill. It was mostly pretty clean, a bit frayed at the edges in terms of worn carpet and fixtures. The staff are exceptionally kind. You get the feeling they are doing their best. We greatly appreciated the iced lemon water in the lobby. I would stay here again.
This hotel was not good! Room was dirty, found a cell phone left in the bed under the made sheets, shower and bathroom areas were broken/falling apart and they allowed a group to party all night right outside of our room window on the hotel patio. We were still awake at 5:00 am due to this. Horrible visit and would never recommend!
Evening staff member was very friendly at check-in and handling our couple small requests (extra towel, etc.). Bed was comfortable and shower was hot. Cleanliness was average for a budget hotel. Location is very convenient to I-70 and services such as gas stations. Price was reasonable for a quick overnight stop.
We liked the size of the room, size and layout of the bathroom, type and availability of the furniture and overall upkeep of the room and property was better than most of the hotels we've previously stayed in. We recommend staying here for anyone who wants a good nights rest for a bargain price.
Having the Tesla charger on property was a lifesaver. It was 2° when I woke up to leave the hotel, and having the charger plugged in and heating my car during the night. It’s rare to find a hotel chain that has EV chargers and I complement you for having them.
Pillows were comfy and so was bed, it was nice and quiet also. But the fitted sheet was torn and I really didn’t want the room with jacuzzi. Staff was friendly when we arrived except for morning staff at counter.
No breakfast. No coffee. The room was clean and cheap. All I wanted. The fight between some people staying there was not enjoyable and not
Managements fault. I never had toilet paper my whole stay.
We had a bad experience or two in trying to book hotels via booking.com. Very poor and scary accommodations. The Hampton Inn and its staff were a pleasant relief.
Brand new hotel. Close to I-70 and to Ohio state line. Nice restaurants within a mile or less from the hotel. Everything was fine, and I would stay here again.
