The breakfast was OK but there was confusion with my Booking.com reservation that included prepaid breakfast - for some reason the restaurant refused to give me a full Starbucks coffee and would only give me a small number of items from the menu even though I had prepaid $20 per day for breakfast. They were happy to make one item (breakfast roll) that costs $11 but would not prepare a different item (french toast) that costs the same. And I had to go to front desk twice to make sure my credits were visible to the restaurant staff. It would be nice if this process were smoother.

It's an interesting and comfortable to stay.
It's an interesting and comfortable to stay. The furniture and decoration tell that it has quite a history. However, it is well maintained and quite comfortable to say. The free breakfast is quite impressive with a good variety and quality.

Farmington is a very old town with beautiful Colonial buildings. Miss Porter's School (Jackie Kennedy's alma mater) is not far from The Inn. There are lovely neighborhoods around The Inn to explore on foot. My room had a beautiful conopied queen bed with luxury sheets, complementary wine in the evening in the tastefully decorated lobby, and breakfast for guests. Check-in was efficient and friendly; parking very convenient. Price was an unbelievable value. The Italian restaurant right next door had an excellent menu and wine list, along with an efficient and friendly staff.

Staff was rude. Wouldn't give me an upgrade eventhough I told them I was a veteran. I was told there were none, however I saw plenty of empty rooms. The breakfast was terrible and there were no pool towels. I had to wait an hour before someone finally came.AAnonymousUnited States

Some rooms are tired and others have been touched up with a better room heater/air conditioner and bathroom. Some places in the hallway you can smell water leaks, but the staff (from cleaning to front desk) are always hard at work to make up for the mechanical/facilities shortfalls. If you need to be in Farmington and not West Hartford -for a short period of time - this motor lodge will do.
