a perfect place to stop on the way for a day or two
Wow what an experience! The view is amazing, like in the pictures and even more.
The cabin is stunning. Spacious, clean, organized, tidy and maintained at a very high level. There is thought about the small details: capsules for the coffee machine, cleaning capsules for the dishwasher, even apple juice in the fridge. They changed our towels and cleaned the cabin.
The owner of the place, Simona, is available for any question and is really attentive and charming.
Highly recommend

An area full of medieval history and well-known legends in the heart of Transylvania. Lots and lots of things to see, places to visit and experiences to try. The natural beauty of the mountains, landscapes and old villages full of traditions makes this place a gem. Very close to many other historical attractions, adventures, natural beauties or culinary attractions.

The main attraction there is Dracula Castle, which I believe is over commercialist, thanks to the writer Bram Stoker. There are a plethora of stalls selling local products as well as food. Personally, I`d rather be somewhere else like Cheile Gradistei, Fundata, or Moeciu de Sus where nature is at its best offering postcard pictures of the mountain.

Bran is definitely a tourist town.
Bran is definitely a tourist town. However, it is also a historic town. The castle is the main attraction and it is well worth a visit. We visited a few days before Halloween and it was packed with tour groups and families. There are markets in town, both at the foot of the castle. One is located right by the entrance and it consists of local souvenirs. The other one is across the street and it has good made by local artisans.
The views in the town are breathtaking. If you don't mind a busy tourist town, Bran is worth a visit for the history and the amazing views.
Parking around the castle can be a nightmare so getting accommodations within walking distance is highly recommended.

This was my first trip to Romania and I decided to keep a room in Bucharest while I traveled to Bran for two days thinking I would want to spend more time in Bucharest. However it has been the opposite. I should have stayed an extra day in Bran. Bran is very close to Brasov so you can get there in 30 minutes, even can use Uber. However, I recommend renting a car. You can pick up the car from train station if renting on Expedia as I did. I say spend more time because I got to Brasov and got the car. Parked near the Black Church and walked the square/ plaza area. This was incredible in and of itself. But after eating I headed to Bran and to my hotel (which was great). I could stay in Bran and see that view every day. But the next day I toured the Bran castle and then drove to Pele’s Castle and the Cantacuzino castle. By the time I returned to Bran was 6 pm. Perfect you might say, I saw everything in a day. Wrong. The next morning I got up and walked to the other side of the castle (down the street) and took pictures. I then drove to a place with views of the countryside. I had no time for anything else as I went back to Brasov ate lunch and left on the train back to Bucharest. Would have been better for more time in Brasov but even more so to explore other towns around Bran (within 2 hours) and to drive the Transfagarasan highway which is considered the most beautiful road in the world. (You need 8 hrs round trip to be able to do this drive from Bran so an extra day just for this) Also, white water rafting and hiking the Transylvanian Alps would have been cool.
Note in Bran there are a lot of places to eat. Most hotels have a restaurant and then the standalone restaurants (only two of these) can stay open later for a late night drink as well. There are shops to pick up snacks and groceries as well. And there are a ton of souvenir shops outside of the entrance to castle. (Which is just behind a couple of restaurants along the road)

Typical tourist center.
Typical tourist center. Near the market where you can buy souvenirs, wine, honey, Romanian national food and clothes. There are restaurants and cafes, pharmacies. Everything is nearby. I would like to improve the pavement for pedestrians in the tourist center and in the market, for example, lay paving slabs or asphalt.
This is the perfect place to stay before your Bran visit, either the Castle or just the Village. You can park your car in the garden and simply walk after. The cozy small garden is perfectly decorated with dreamy wood-only furniture and a sensible playground for the kids. Inside, it's a great traditional Romanian experience.
You will be welcomed by the actual owner, that really cares for you and yours. That was how we felt, the 7 of us.
If you're lucky, welcome procedure also includes a toast with traditional Bran Palinca!
Bran Castle is also known as Dracula's Castle but there is no real link with either the historical or fictional Dracula. Nevertheless, the view from the hotel is spectacular. The hotel's restaurant is very good: try the platter of local cheeses with the Fume Blanc white wine. (Unlike in the UK, a cheese board is considered to be a starter in Romania.) Breakfast was huge - I think we only managed to eat about 30% of it. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Off-street parking is available at the back of the hotel.
Check in was a breeze and the host was very cordial and welcoming. Perfect location right next to the castle grounds. There are two atm machines within 50 meters of the property. There is also a common area with a kitchen should you need. 4 nice pillows were provided. Plenty of soap, shampoo and towels. The grounds were immaculate and there is parking if you are driving. Will definitely be back when I visit Bran again.
This hotel is in an ideal location for Bran Castle
But above this was the welcome I received. I would like to compliment you and your entire staff for being so professional. Always a smile on their faces, they were really very impressive.
The room was clean and very comfortable.
Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient.
Thank you
This is a fantastic place !! I know that it might be a little awkward if you don’t have any car or van, because the distance of the Bran Castle will be rather complicated, if so when it is dark. However you have got your own transportation, this will be 10 out of 10 !! The size of your room is both modern and HUGE !!
The place is great located in the center of Bran with a view of the castle and the mountains. It is equipped with all the necessary things for a family stay. There is a gallery with a room that we didn't use. George the owner and his family are super nice. We extended our stay for an additional day.
This place stands in a wonderful position, right in front of Bran's Castle which is within walking distance. Our stay was over the winter period, the landscape was covered with snow, just magic.
The staff is very kind and warm, and dinner and breakfast were delicious. I recommend this place!!
The stay in Bran was exceptional, with the highlight being the warm welcome and outstanding hospitality provided by our host. Room was simple but more than enogh. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming experience. Views to Bran castle! Smart TV.
The hotel is in an amazing location which offered a direct view of the castle from the bedroom. The hotel really sets the scene for Dracula as it is in a period building full of charm. The staff were very friendly and a fantastic breakfast was offered.
Reasonably priced and in a very good location. Bran’s Castle is a few minutes walk away and plenty of food shops and restaurants around the hotel! Staff were very friendly and helpful as well, we have enjoyed our stay! ☺️
Modern, well-kept cabin in a peaceful area. View was nice (although not as nice as in the pics due to a newly built house blocking some of the view). Close to Bran castle yet away from the most touristy areas.
Stella, the host is very kind. She offered traditional Romanian sweets, made from her garden to us !!
The property is near to Bran castle and the a location to take a nice photo.
Very friendly atmosphere, great owners and you can cook yourself food (I didn’t cook but the other guests did). Very close to castle Bran, maybe 10 minute walk if that.
Excellent location, with views over mountains, close to the castle. Cosy rooms, exceptional clean bedsheets & towels. Fully equipped kitchen. Perfect for 10 people.
The view was amazing. The garden is suitable for families with children. The location is remote and peaceful. You can see the Bran castle from the upper balconies.
The location is excellent. You can sit outside on the terrace and see the Bran castle. Everything is near within walkable distance. Breakfast was good.
