I am trying to find the positives. I suppose you could say that thIs is like a time capsule! If you want to know what a basic hotel was like 50 years ago just spend the night here. Times might have moved on, but not here at The American Hotel. Tiny room. Paper thin walls. Drab decor. Dirty carpets. You might want to experience these things.

The whole experiece was fatastic, the hotel is in a lovely area of greenery and lovely residential area. The atmosphere was very relaxing after a long drive from Calais. If I was to make one constructive recommendation would be that the hotel is not very clearly sign posted which can be difficult for foreign visitors. I will definitely be staying again. The staff where very friendly lovely Dutch people as usual. The hotel also has a perfect pool, sauna and steam room. Facilities are amasing for the price. MAnagement should be proud of what they have achieved. I would recommend this hotel as the perfect stay over for families visiting Landal sites before the Monday.
