One of my favourite stays ever.
First of all, they’re very easy to communicate with even as an English speaking guest, I was able to arrange shuttle bus, electric bike rental months before I arrived.
As soon as I arrived I was picked up by the shuttle bus (there are two types, on a sunny day it’s this super cute semi open cart with folk music playing, on a rainy day it’s a regular 8 seater car). The shuttle bus runs at selected times between 10 - 5 everyday to take you to different areas of the island.
I was shown to the room that had the most BEAUTIFUL view I’ve ever seen. The interior is very cute and clean, a very good size and the bed was fluffy and smelled very fresh.
My favourite thing is that there are self serving towels outside in the hotel room for both bath towels and beach towels, so convenient!
The electric bike rental was 5000 yen for a full day, it was so easy to use, thanks to that I was able to explore a lot of areas. Because zamami island is quite hilly in some parts, I highly recommend you rent an electric one instead of a normal one.
The room price included breakfast which was absolutely deliciously and homey. I also ordered lunch on one of the days and it was the best chicken nanban I’ve had (I feel like I’m saying the best a lot).
I’ll definitely be back again :)

Fantastic place, hosts are so wonderful, we got caught by massive storm while being at Furuzamami and had to leave bikes from Yenn's Marina there due to heavy conditions, as were offered a ride by car by some locals, hosts pick the bikes later by themselves. Tastefull breakfast and just two houses away from very good restaurant, rooms are very clean and spacious.
Thank you for your hospitality.
Located just a 3-minute walk to the beautiful Ama Beach, which is famous for breathtaking sunsets, Minshuku Yadokari is surrounded by untouched nature on the Zamami Island.

The Hosts where super nice and even picked us up from the port for free and dropped me off again when I left. The food is also amazing and it is just super authentic and nice. The hammocks in the garden are a good place to relax but the beach is also just 2min away. So truly a little paradise!
Just 350 metres from Aka Island’s ferry terminal, the completely non-smoking Hanamuro Inn offers simple air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and shared bathrooms.

Very nice location with beautiful beach, convenient shuttle service from port, friendly personnel, tasty food in restaurant.
We got to see turtles at Ama Beach which was wonderful.
We got to see turtles at Ama Beach which was wonderful. We also rented an electric ‘car’ for 4 hours ($50) and were able to ride around the entire island. The accommodation (Blue Marine) was conveniently located and the breakfast and dinner (included in our arrangement) were top-notch. We especially appreciated the delicious fresh sashimi each evening with our meal. Taguchi-san created a great variety of delectable meals.

It’s very difficult to find food. There are two small stores selling snacks/ beer but that’s about it. Oh, the fresh seafood takeaway place is open early and sells very delicious ( and huge) onigiri plus fried fish ( ONE PIECE=¥100). There’s nothing else open in the morning.

better beaches than Aka and that Tokashiki for a normal...
better beaches than Aka and that Tokashiki for a normal beach use. For diving perhaps Aka is better
Port should have more and cleaner facilities for the travellers
300 yen for a 7 minute ride from the port to the beach in a crowded old bus without air condition sounds like a great business for the service operator.

Loved Zamami.
Loved Zamami. Furuzamami had the most amazingly clear water and coral. Village has a nice feel with many restaurant options. Be sure to reserve as we saw many people being turned away as Restaurants were full. We liked Zamami more than Tokashiki. We did diving with JoyJoy who were great with our 12 year old son who had never dived before.
The property was well located, a close few minute walk to the port, impeccably clean, and very reasonably priced. It was the owners that made it very special, they conducted fantastic tours and trips of all kinds. I did a snorkeling tour, which was Exceptional, better than snorkeling Hawaii. They really know this island, and work hard to make sure every guest has a peek, enjoyable experience. I loved Zamami Island, it was super easy to get around, and very chill. Fantastic experience, and this guesthouse has my highest recommendation.
Wow.
What an amazing couple of days.
The service was amazing and made the accomodation feel like home. The breakfast was very tasty and different each day (see photos).
The hotel is very close to ama beach where you can swim with the turtles.
The hotel also has a restaurant - my favourite was the fried tuna cheeks. But it was all beautiful and cooked right infront of you by Miyahira
I would highly recommend this to anybody who wants a home from home.
Thank you so much for an unforgettable couple of days

Staff were super helpful during our stay. Prior to our stay, the communication with them was great. They helped us make dinner reservations for the week which was necessary for the small island. We rented the e-bikes to see parts of the island and it was wonderful! There are electric smart cars too - get your international license if you want to rent these! My family and I will be staying here again when we visit again. Highly recommend.
Everything! Location is lovely it’s just 2 mins walk to Ama beach, perfect sunset beach and for turtle spotting! The tatami room smells so lovely and is super clean. Strong and silent AC, quiet room, and the shared bathrooms are super clean! Honestly the most clean stay on the Kerama Islands. I especially love the warm hospitality and dinner was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend dinner in the minshuku. I’d definitely come back!
I had a wonderful time in this place. I was so touched by the name sign Naho San made for me when she picked me up from the port. I enjoyed my stay in the tatami room, the dinner at 38, the breakfast Naho San made for me. a big thank you for her for she helping me to contact my hotel in Onna and Naha when the ferry got canceled. and to Mr Kazu, I’ll try to come back at your birthday in October 😉
Wonderful stay in a well appointed room with very comfortable beds. The folding table and chairs turn into a nice living area during the day with a small fridge and there are microwave + cooking utensils + laundry outside the room. But especially we want to thank Natsuko San for being so extremely helpful when we were disrupted due to ferry cancellation.
This property is located on Zamami near the port. It was roughly a 20 min walk to Ama Beach, but the hotel does also offer a shuttle to and from the beaches as well as small electric cars to be rented (discounted rates for guests). Ama beach had several sea turtles in the morning (before 11am) during high tide.
Very relaxing location. We asked the staff to book tours last minute and they made it happen. They also made restaurant bookings and had great recommendations.
The room was a bit small, but clean, modern and quiet. The rooftop jacuzzi was great.
The staff picked us up at the ferry.
The room was spacious and clean.
The staff was really nice.
There was a convenient place to wash and hang the snorkelling material.
It was well located, not far from the port, the restaurants, and the bus stop to go to Furuzamami beach (it is a bit far and not easy to go by walk).
The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and came with lots of free amenities, including a washer/dryer, kitchenette and lots of beach/snorkel equipment. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Okinawa.
the staff! some of the most hospitable hosts I’ve ever had! so nice and helpful!
we got it last minute with low expectations, but now this will be our first choice for zamami! so much better than AMA beach cabins!
Exceptionally kind, welcoming and courteous staff! We had an amazing stay and were blown away by the incredible personell, hotel, the scenery and beautiful, calm beaches. We even saw turtels!
Super friendly staff and excellent location on Zamami.
The roof shower under the stars and resonable price makes this place hard to beat. Free washing available.
