Extremely comfortable and clean room, small, but equipped with everything needed and as stated in the description. Excellent location - a very short drive/walk to the Sakurajima ferry terminal and in the other direction a short walk in to the main city centre for restaurants etc. Overnight parking is located just across the road from the hotel (¥900). A convenience store is also right next to the hotel.

    Good luck with English.

    Good luck with English. But other than that it's easily accesible with the ferry from Kagoshima. There are two buses: a tourist sigh seeing one and a local bus. Both are easy to access. The sights are great and there are a bunch of places to have a hot bath with the volcanic water. Seems like they don't mind tattoos much over there which is refreshing.
