Great location which was really close to the beach but not too busy and noisy. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to leave a bag a few hours before the check in time. Room was very comfortable.

Ian the host was super friendly, nothing too much trouble and was very accommodating with my pet dog Pinto, even allowing him run around his garden… very good gratis continental breakfast selection.
I will return, as we were both made very welcome.

Was nice to reminisce over a previous stay years ago.
Was nice to reminisce over a previous stay years ago.
Margate like many other coastal towns suffers from a lack of investment and some of the oldest and most interesting properties are closed and boarded up.

Haven't visited Margete in over 20 years and was pleasantly surprised. The beach was lovely and sandy, with an actual sauna on the beach and some activities for kids, was nice to watch the yachts sailing around the little harbour, plenty of amusement arcades Nice little market in the old town, mainly craft/clothing items. Plenty of good places to eat/drink. Pete's fish and chips was lovely. Also ate at The Sundowners (LGBT) bar (which has a terrace overlooking the sea) and food was lovely there too! Margate is bustling with life and great for a day out or longer if you fancy!!

Didn’t like Margate as much as Ramsgate not many pubs there, the only decent place is the mechanical elephant other places were expensive bars which were not my scene no karaoke venues like Ramsgate, just like Guildford the rodboro buildings in the centre and very few pubs in a big town which are all spread out of the town instead of being in the centre, it’s one of those towns with more tea places and diners and less pubs in the towns, can’t beat my number one town Reading in Friar street.

Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays.
Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays. I visited the Turner gallery, shell grotto, crab museum. I didn't have time to see the caves. Great sunsets. Loads of places to eat. I would highly recommend the Bull's Head for Sunday lunch. Best roasties ever! The Olimpia Bakery does coffee and amazing cakes.
Fabulous old hotel in process of being restored. It was stuffed full of memorabilia of times gone by - it’s over 100 years old. Built sideways to beach so rooms all have sea view. Fascinating to explore.
Breakfast buffet style but delicious, plenty of selection and option for kippers, haddock and a variety of eggs. Every single staff member we met polite and helpful. Tidal lido is right by the hotel and people swam in it every day.
Quiet area a bit out of town but a pleasant walk along the seafront into Margate Bay. Free parking.
The guest house was perfect for a quick weekend break to Margate! Our room was exceptionally comfortable, spacious and with great special touches (the record player + vinyl selection!) The pantry was an added bonus with complimentary snacks, soft drinks and ice cream!
Location wise the hotel is brilliantly situated in Margate for easy access to the beach front and on a road full of fab independent shops, restaurants and bars.
I can imagine in the Summer the rooftop bar and Pearly Cow views would be even better.
It is what it is. Years ago this would have been a bustling classy hotel. It now has a worn-out, post-apocalyptic feel. As a hotel it merely survives. That is not the fault of the hotel at all. Its fate and seeming downward trajectory has been linked to that of Margate itself. I booked a room with bathroom, no more as nothing else is provided. But...the staff were real nice and it gives genuine value for money. I paid £40 and was treated very fairly. I have no complaints and would stay there again.
There were several nice personal touches such as the fresh milk and water in the fridge, and a stick of Margate rock on the bed.
The apartment is compact but perfectly adequate for what I needed. The seaside themed decor made me feel like I was on holiday (even though I wasn't).
Kitchen was really well equipped. Bed was comfy and I had a great night's sleep which is unusual for me when I am away from home for work.
Location is perfect! And the view is exceptional!! The rooms are very big, and beautifully decorated. we liked the fact you have your own floor. Breakfast is brought to your room and the selection is fantastic! Made us feel very welcome and our little dog was treated like a king while we stayed at the pink house! Best B&B in Margate and fantastic hosts! We will return ♥️
We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The room was very clean and cosy with beautiful sea front view.
The member of staff very nice and polite. We appreciate that we could leave our luggage before the check-in time in the reception.
Would definitely book again next time visiting Margate.
Very easy access from coach station and train station.
Thank you!
Comfortable room, great host and yummy breakfast. The location is ideal because it's quiet yet only 10/15mins walk from main Margate via a route either by the road or along the seafront. We had a very enjoyable time and I always appreciate staying at an accomodation where the host makes the effort to ensure you have the best trip possible - thanks Jim!
Very nice and very clean. One of the best bathrooms Iv come across in a small hotel. The whole venue was perfect for a weekend away in Margate.
Paul is very nice and accommodating offing us ideas of what to do and see in the local area.
I will definitely be staying again next time I’m down in Margate.
It was a fantastic hotel!! Bed was incredibly comfy, food was lovely. Room was fantastic, funky and very cool. Location is right on the beach and about a 20/30 minute stroll from the old town/train station. I would highly recommend to anyone going to Margate.
Great breakfast.
The stay was more akin to staying with friends than as a hotel guest. Both Colin and Tracey were warm and friendly.
Decent location in a quiet area of Margate, ten minutes walk from Station. Nice beach at end of the road
What a lovely little find this hotel was, staff were lovely and went over and above to make our anniversary special, room was great, beach opposite but 20 min walk to the main Margate beach. Would definitely come back and thank you x
Lovely hotel, beautifully modernised and furnished. Good sized, comfortable room with excellent en-suite. Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Excellent bar and restaurant on site. Great location.
Breakfast was really good with fresh fruit, delicious scrambled eggs and loads of other options. This is a charming hotel with lots of character and it has been well maintained. Would highly recommend.
The beautiful and curated decor, sea view from the bedroom, the prime location and also the hotel booklet in the room introducing the history of the Margate, arts, things to do
Great location, just a mile way from the hustle and bustle of Margate. A little parade of shops is not far away if you need anything. Host were super friendly.
