A wonderful period building with a lovely bedroom etc .The breakfast room was a delight to have breakfast in and the service was very good. The location was fantastic for all of the local sites and amenities. We enjoyed the bar/restaurant/beer garden too. They even served my favourite beer- Timothy Taylor Landlord !! This all helped to make our first visit to Bourton-on-the Water a tremendous experience

This is such a picturesque part of the UK.

This is such a picturesque part of the UK. Make sure you get out and explore the surrounding villages as well. The Slaughters are gorgeous & if you love walking, you can walk from Bourton-on the Water , and also walk between Lower & Upper Slaughter. It’s relatively flat, so moderate fitness is adequate. Just make sure you have good walking shoes as it can be a bit muddy on the track

This area is so heavily burdened by tourists that I felt bad for contributing to the problem. It is picturesque and the people are lovely. If you are visiting, I hope you will have the manners to consider where you put your trash and to not obstruct other people when you are trying to get your 1000 pics for social media.

Bourton on the Water, is a beautiful country town but a nightmare on a bank holiday….too busy. The locals were not very welcoming and a little curt when speaking to you except for Venezia - the staff and family were very welcoming and the food was delicious. So too was The Willow. Staff were super friendly and food was good. The rest of the local community are quite rude, maybe they were exhausted from the Bank holiday weekend? Bourton on the Water is picturesque and very well worth a visit. It was lovely to sit along the river and people watch.

Plenty of attractions to visit and large variety of places to eat. Wonderful local scenery and close to many other Cotswold towns. Free parking for 90 minutes is available in the centre of the town if you look for it. A lovely place to walk around with traditional old stone buildings.

A lovely historic town with some tourist attractions within walking distance. We spent a day exploring the town and visited the model village, the motor museum and Birdland. There are many cafes and restaurants to choose from; in warmer weather it would be lovely to eat outside and enjoy the views of the river.

The bar staff were most helpful I had hunters chicken for my meal The chicken was fine but I found the sauce overpowering and far to sweet My room was comfortable and I slept well...although it was a bit of a hike up to my room Breakfast the following morning was OK but a little over cooked Also no parking at this hotel meant I had to walk back from the Royal British Legion car park in Bourton on the Water and Then again on my return in the morning....not a long distance but long enough after a journey

We had a lovely stay at Coombe House, it was just like being in the comfortable home of a friend, relaxed ambiance, set in a spacious garden. David hosted us beautifully, 5 stars all the way. Everything was uncomplicated with plenty of parking. Bourton on the Water is the nicest village in the Cotswolds, flowers and little bridges everywhere and very quiet at night. Highly recommended as the best base for visiting the area.

warm welcome from staff, excellent room and guest parking metres from the front door. The room was spacious, well decorated and the little extras were much appreciated. Plenty of fluffy towels, coffee machine, all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Breakfast was a delight, excellent choice, again wonderfully friendly staff. Encouraged us to leave the car in place until checkout and explore the village.

Perfect location for exploring Bourton on the Water, on site parking a real bonus but beware there are 18 spaces for 22 rooms! Welcomed by the most lovely lady on reception to this typically quaint English hotel. We stayed in room 6 which was utterly beautiful, the bed was huge and very comfortable, bathroom spotless but the pressure of the shower was somewhat lacking!

Breakfast and dinner was great, the food was top class. Very dog friendly hotel. The staff were very tentative and friendly. The room was large and the bed was surprisingly comfortable, the bathroom was modern and clean. Very old worldly place with uneven floors and low ceilings like many other similar buildings. Will be going back some time in the future!
