We really enjoyed our stay in Mudgee.
We really enjoyed our stay in Mudgee. There were nature walks and sculpture walks. We had a quick look around the art gallery that had a great exhibition. The old station and art centre were very interesting. We did have good weather so took advantage of being outside a lot of the time. Several cafes and coffee shops. A great place to visit for a few days.

Mudgee is a short drive from Sydney and a great weekend away. There are a range of dining and accommodation options to choose from. The reason we repeat visit this region is for the wineries, definitely worth a visit.

Town well presented, and interesting in history. I stayed one night in transit but will plan a longer stay and will recommend to friends.
I loved the statue and background of Louisa Lawson.

Mudgee is an attractive country town surrounded by vineyards...
Mudgee is an attractive country town surrounded by vineyards and has a lot of significant history. It’s a short distance from Gulgong, which is a must see if you want to understand the history of the area. It has probably the best museum in the country and a brilliant photographic museum too. There are not many towns with an opera house!
Beautifully kept old style hotel. Comfy beds, lovely rooms with extra things (like fan, air con, fridge, table) that I wouldn't necessarily expect from.a pub. Bathrooms are modern and lovely and clean.
The staff were lovely and friendly, had a lovely meal there too, the garden yard is lovely. We had a great time, felt safe, welcomed and appreciated all of the little touches like paintings, nice lounges in a communal area and just the lovely vibe.
Incredible location in Mudgee! An easy walk to all the cafes, restaurants, shops, bars and grocery stores. We rented bikes and rode directly from the hotel to fabulous wineries. The room was very nice, with a spa tub in the Junior 1- bedroom (definitely recommend after a day of biking/wine tasting), comfy bed/pillows and an outdoor balcony for fresh air. We would absolutely stay here again!
Great location and property, I wish we could have stayed longer! The host was very communicative and thoughtful in making our stay enjoyable and comfortable. The property is beautifully decorated as well as functional, we especially loved the hot tub and record player! Would definitely recommend staying here if you're in Mudgee.
Lovely comfortable stay at Kirsten's. The accomodation was spotlessly clean, very well appointed, bed very comfortable. It was very hot in Mudgee on the day we arrived but the accomodation was so cool as the air con had been put on ahead of our arrival. Really was a home away from home. Highly recommended and would stay again.
It's a short walk from the motel into Mudgee CBD and there are restaurants close by. The motel also has a restaurant attached, breakfast is also available either in your room or the restaurant. We did a morning winery tour, afternoon and whole day tours are also available and you're picked up from your accommodation.
Fabulous property in a quiet, lovely location close to Mudgee. Beautifully decorated to a really high standard. Well-equipped and well stocked kitchen. Butler's pantry with Nespresso coffee was wonderful. As most of our party cycled in the Mudgee ride, the spa was a big bonus after the ride! This group will be back!
super convenient! big room size with ensuite, we understand of the noise from the pub downstairs but it was fine to us as we exhausted by the end of night from roaming around all day so we got knocked out easily 😀. The hotel provides the earplugs as I it’s helpful. Affordable for low budget visitors. 🙏
Highly recommend! The place was well kept, clean, tidy and very spacious.
The stand out was the service, Bridget & Phil ensured our stay was comfortable, relaxing and indulgent - with their in-house massage, cooked breakfast each morning, personal winery tour. It made our stay in mudgee!
I had great time staying at Horatio hotel. It exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean, bed was super comfortable, it was quiet and very relaxing. The staff is nice too. They provide all the basic amnesties. I highly recommend Horatio to anyone planning on staying in Mudgee.
The house was AMAZING! Beds were like sleeping on clouds. Kitchen was fully stocked with cutlery, glasses and the clincher - the body wash in the showers was PERFECT! We loved staying at the property and would definitely look to book again when in Mudgee.
this property is excellent in every way. right in the middle of town, walking distance to all shops, restaurants and pubs. the house is very clean and comfortable, everything you need is there. Owners easy to deal with as well. Will definitely be back.
I travelled to Mudgee with a group of 7 girlfriends. We loved everything about this property. It’s spacious; very well equipped; well maintained and spotlessly clean; and in a great location. The host, Alistair, is tremendously helpful
Perfect place to stop for a night or two, clean and modern decor in rooms and the hotel is located conveniently. The family room set up was also great with interconnecting rooms and TV in each
Hotel is in a top spot walked to pubs restaurants etc. Rooms a bit small and minor problems with the taps in the shower also the air con would not cycle. Very clean and nice soft bed.
Comfortable and super clean rooms. The hotel was very accommodating with any answers or requests I had prior to my stay. On-site carport. Friendly and welcoming staff
Lovely spacious villa with all the gadgets you would ever need. Great size bedrooms and spacious bathroom. Nice and handy to main street in town wit a pub next door.
