Price , location and the room was modern with a nice bathroom. Kitchenette was great size with microwave , toaster and a nice size fridge with a larger freezer than other places. Large tv with Netflix/YouTube Air conditioner worked a treat and wasn’t noisy like other places. Great communication from the staff when room was ready prior to arrival. Comfortable bed which is always a bonus.

Laurieton was really lovely for our New Years Eve getaway.

Laurieton was really lovely for our New Years Eve getaway. It was walking distance to the pub ,clubs and restaurants. My husband is in a wheelchair and everyone wherever we went from staff to patrons were very helpful and accommodating. We went to the pub before dinner and it was lovely. We actually wish we had eaten there, instead of the Indian Restaurant, although gave us a table without booking, as it wasn't very nice. The plates of food coming out in both the Pub and the Club looked really good.We went to the Club after for New Year's Eve entertainment. We out the back to watch the fireworks at 9 oclock and they had sausage sizzles, snow cones, raffles, alcohol for sale and tables and chairs and lots of community spirit. The fireworks were really great and we were led to an underground elevator to renter the club even though it was under renovation from flooding. Once in the club we found a table down the back from the band. I went to order a coffee for my husband as he doesn't drink and they were closed and the staff member named Lisa made him one anyway. She was so very lovely. The band was really great and taught people how to boot scoot to the songs. We dropped back int the pub on the way home as the DJ was still playing. There wasn't much opened the next day due to it being News Years Day but there was some nice looking clothes shops. We would definitely go back.

My journey was from Northern NSW to Sydney. Laurieton is about half way. I needed a bed for the night. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean and good food was available at the hotel bistro. I also stayed there on the return journey.

Nice town, with plenty of food options (restaurants & takeaway) all within easy walking distance . The pub was great & we thought we would eat there another visit. Supermarket almost next door was very convenient.

I grew up in Laurieton and love to visit now at least once a year, I highly recommend driving up onto Big Brother mountain for beautiful views. The walking paths are great, you can do an easy 1 hour walk or more. I love Grounded cafe which is also licensed and you can enjoy light meals there.
