The Orange rope walk was one of my highlight on my Daintree forest trip and stay in Crocodylus. It was magical!
I love how close we are to nature and the staff are very lovely and friendly. Taught us a lot about the harmless Golden orb weaving spiders ✨
Just a heads up that this is a hut (rooms are not made of concrete wall) and so one may get lucky or the other way around with the neighbors. My partner struggled with our neighbor who was snoring so loud (I wasn't affected, as I have a deep sleep & ear plugs).

Host Dean was welcoming and location was just across the road from Thornton Beach.

The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating.
The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road.
Well worth a visit to support the local businesses & Heritage Lodge staff were amazing & our evening dinners were 5 star restaurant

3. Bruce belcher croc trip, mossman gorge and cultural tour by indigenous leader
4. Pt Douglas, reef trip, shopping or day spa!
5. Daintree Village ferry and high-top walk way
6. Go see Donna at Daintree Wild and hear about her fabulous stories of running the old zoo, which is now a bed and breakfast! Injured Emus in cars, wild wombats and an attack by a cassowary and the people who were scared to go into their room because there was a small green tree snake 30 m away on the balcony!!

Daintree was lovely and we enjoyed birdwatching, exploring some of the surrounding tracks and, particularly, an early-morning birding trip on the Daintree River. However, we changed our plans and stayed in Port Douglas which was close enough to allow daily trips to Daintree but had better - and better value - hotels, a choice of restaurants and so on.

A wonderful experience in the Daintree and Cape Trib.
A wonderful experience in the Daintree and Cape Trib. We missed the Cassowary Falls as they wanted $59 per adult to enter. So sadly, no where nearby for a free swim in the heat. Ferry over the river was $45 return which is pricey for a 2 minute trip across. The DVH Pub over the road had great bar staff with meals and drinks very affordable and yummy. The manager even put the T20 world cup cricket final on the TV for us. The café at Thornton Beach had great views and tasty sour dough sandwiches. Recommend a stop at the Daintree Ice-cream park too as they were fantastic flavors and only $7.50 for a tub of four varieties!

Beautiful, amazing and peaceful, we loved the Daintree.
Beautiful, amazing and peaceful, we loved the Daintree. Can't wait to visit again. Cassowary falls was amazing and I would recommend the Eco Lodge for dinner. Unfortunately we missed out on daintree icecream but won't next visit. Dave at Solarwhisper tours was amazing with his personal knowledge of the local crocs and wildlife. Swimming in the Emmagen creek was fun, we should have gone to the blue holes for a swim but will have too next time also. Highly recommended sailaway tours to Mackay Cay for a great reef experience.

Daintree village closed for dinner . Barge stops at midnight, so get your stuff sorted before you leave it to late
Hard to get anything after dark .
I would pack food next time I head that way ,
Sandfly’s happy to pick you up and take you to your next location 🤨
Nice drive from port Douglas to cape tribulation, roads were all quite good .
Nice place to visit .
Greg has done a great job to make his accommodations completely off the grid and eco sustainable. The cabins are well appointed, roomy, and very comfortable. There is a large community area with a billiards table and swimming pool. Food and beverage is also available on site which is very convenient in this rural, yet exquisitely beautiful part of the country. We enjoyed listening to Greg’s stories about his varied adventures abroad as well as appreciated his skills in the kitchen- providing delicious meals with generous portions.
This is the best of Australia! Sit and do nothing amongst the palm trees on ur balcony, FEed a kangaroo, wake up with the bird calls in glamourous accommodation, fluffy large towels, high thread sheet count, refreshing pool swim.
Donna stories of previously running a zoo on the property are worth the cost alone, throw in Substational breakfast, you'd be mad to stay anywhere else!
The rooms were stylish, modern, luxurious, massive shower head, ensuite, felt like an oasis. Massive king bed that's comfy., lovely chairs in room
The Daintree Manor B&B is truly a piece of paradise. Experience tranquility is the motto and that’s exactly what you get. The property is gorgeous and the location simply perfect for discovering the rainforest.
Charmaine and Robbie are the best hosts you could ask for and make you feel at home right away. Their two friendly dogs Sox and Gus just add to it. We stayed here for only one night and immediately regretted not staying longer.
This place had everything we needed for our little 2 night getaway. Is in a quiet little town which was a great starting point for exploring the Daintree. Everything was clean, the beds and couches were comfy. There was so much space and loved how it had so many sitting areas, inside and out. Was great to sit outside and cook a bbq. This place had a very cosy, homely feeling. Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Daintree Ecolodge. The room and the view of the rainforest/pond from the room was surreal. The staff were especially friendly and always greeted us as we walked to breakfast each morning and around the grounds throughout the day. We dined at the restaurant and enjoyed many delicious meals, coffees and cocktails (which each incorporated local ingredients) made at the recommendation of the staff.
everything!!! new chalet with amazing views, high end appliances (bed, hot tub spa, TV, Bluetooth speaker) and delicious breakfast and full kitchen and grill to cook! stocked fridge and the nicest, friendliest and most accommodating hosts possible! do the waterfall tour - amazing!! can’t wait to come back. highly recommend! traveled the entire eastern Australian coast on our honeymoon and this was our favorite place. so relaxing
The accommodation is basic and functional. There is a shared outdoor kitchen and eating area which is good because the pub across the road is not open every night for meals.Bring your supplies in case you don't make it to the local general store before it closes (early). The setting is beautiful, situated next to the Daintree River.
Location was within walking distance to all attractions. Barry and Di were exceptional hosts with great knowledge of the local fauna and flora. The rooms were above and beyond. The breakfasts were just next level nothing was to much trouble I highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely return 😎
Loved the property - the views, the solitude, the butterflies, the hot tub. The hike to the waterfall was a highlight of the two weeks in Australia! The breakfast was great too and Andy was very accommodating as a host! We would absolutely considering coming back on a future trip.
The dinner was superb and well priced for the portion size. The accommodation looks pretty from the outside and had potential to be a lovely place. Good views and comfortable bed (once you deal with the ant infestation under the covers!) I can’t say anything else positive though.
Hayley and Mike were fantastic hosts who made us feel very welcome and right at home. The accommodation is spacious, clean and im a beautiful area. Their home cooked breakfasts were delicious, and we really enjoyed their company and hospitality. We would definitely recommend!
The property was just what we expected - a nice group of bungalows tucked into the rainforest. The staff were great and really made us feel very welcome. They were also very helpful in planning our day trips. It’s location was very convenient for exploring the Daintree area.
This wonderful getaway deep in the Daintree Rainforest couldn't be more magical. The natural environment, including the nearby swimming hole and creek on the property, takes centre stage. As a base to explore the region, the location couldn't be better.
A unique accommodation experience in the heart of the Daintree. Very friendly and extremely helpful hosts. Well provisioned rooms and living room. Breakfasts were incredible. Amazing views.
Everything! The room, the view, the breakfast and private waterfall tour. The accommodation had everything you needed and more. Andy and Liz were the perfect hosts as well!
