The location is excellent. In the ❤️ of Bellingen and walkable everywhere. Clean and comfy room and communal kitchen are terrific. Staff were very helpful. Small heater in our room made all the difference and was much appreciated as it was pretty cool for Bello.

What’s not to like!? The location is excellent - close to Bellingen but not in the thick of it, RIGHT on the river on a gorgeous leafy property. The home is quite something - lovely high ceiling, very well-equipped kitchen, comfy bedrooms, great recreational facilities and an EXCEPTIONAL host who really went above and beyond to do whatever she could to make our stay wonderful.

Our guesthouse, The Belfry, was excellently located, great value for money and it was easy to walk to the Writers Festival venues, the pub and other cafes, restaurants and shops. We loved everything about the town which has a relaxed and friendly vibe. I've been to Bellingen many times and never tire of it. I can recommend the pub for decent pub food, Zaatars restaurant for great middle eastern food and The Old Butter Factory for an excellent breakfast. A fantastic Guest House with an amazing lady looking after...
A fantastic Guest House with an amazing lady looking after you. Our stay was too short, would love to have stayed longer so that we could it enjoy it even more. So many local restaurants, there are two local hotels/bars, both very good with good menus for lunch or dinner. Everything in walking distance from the Guest House.

Bellingen is a wonderful historic display case of NSW country town architecture. It also has an amazing range of shops and things that other towns have bits of - Bellingen's got the lot. Shop people and shoppers not actually discourteous but not friendly. Still, it was a Monday morning. Overall, a delightful place that could be made more delightful by getting rid of that mainroad traffic through the town. It detracts from the ambience.JamesAustralia - 10Scored 10

The town itself is quite quirky. There are a few very good eateries in town also. There are numerous amazing surrounding areas that you can travel around and explore. The country around Bellingen is absolutely gorgeous.

Loved the town. Great array of shops and goods. Fantastic coffee and food at H&S Cafe. Surrounding area is also fantastic - from Dorrigo rain forest to the Promised Land to Urunga board walk.

We stayed twice over a two week period with a few days off in between. The first room was great, as was the second, though internet wasn't good in the second room.
