Penrith is a beautiful little town. I arrived via bus from London. The accomodation was easy to walk to from the train station. I was met so kindly at check in. After a long bus ride and still struggling from jet lag, I had the most amazing sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the area is so peaceful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. It was a very lovely stay. They were able to assist me with any questions, very accomodating.

Interior design was amazing inside - very modern! lovely touches in the family room - little colouring packs for kids, their own robes and little juices and snacks for them too in the fridge, cookies on arrival and a fresh milk dispenser right outside the door was brill - especially to fill bottles for babies!! First class hotel. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful, comfortable room and excellent food. We were driving south from Scotland to Liverpool to join a cruise ship, unfortunately due to bad weather conditions our itinerary was changed and we elected not to sail. I rang the hotel on our way back north and were delighted that they were able to give us the same room. Would definitely stay at Roundthorn again.
