I stayed here to attend the cricket test. It is a short walk from the ground with plenty of restaurants and pubs in close proximity, yet the hotel is in a very quiet leafy street. I had a lovely bright and fresh room looking out to the trees. The bed was really comfortable and the en-suite large and spotless. A very good full breakfast was included and for anyone with a car, there is amply on-site parking. Finally, I couldn't speak more highly of the staff. Right from the start they were friendly and helpful, but when I got sick during my stay (no fault of the hotel), the staff went out of their way to assist me and to ensure my wellbeing. This is an exceptional hotel that I highly recommend.

Staff were very welcoming even though it was raining and we were drenched. Hotel was very easy to find and close to shops, pubs... Room was very spacious and well organised. Beds were comfortable and each had 2 pillows, ❤️. The room was very clean with all facilities working. Toiletries were exceptionally good quality as were the towels and bedding. Check out at noon was a huge bonus as we were late in from a concert so could sleep in.
