Location was ideal- 20 mins from station, 8 mins from the centre of the town. You can hear the river outside with a good view if it! Exceptionally friendly and warm service from the guesthouse owner. The room had everything I needed. Very warm and comfortable.

Such helpful and friendly staff. Great food, reasonably priced in the pet friendly pub restaurant. Close to the main shopping area with free parking. Comfortable beds and nice big towels. Just a really nice experience and excellent value.

Although a short stay. The CG impressed us for numerous reasons. Ideally placed for venturing into the south Lakes. Spacious. Property, quiet location, helpful staff, Comfortable room. Well organised Restaurant serving quality buffet breakfast. Top class Leisure centre/Spa.Lovely welcoming fireside bar open to a decent time for late arrivals.

Must be one of the loveliest moments in the Lake District for us. Cosy atmosphere, great food and wonderful staff and a beautiful dog, everything is perfect for people who live in urban areas. The location is a bit far from the Lake District but worth staying there as a hub if you drive a car.

Our room was spacious and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. Our hostess, Maureen, was lovely - and her homemade muesli and bread were very tasty. We had a lovely stay - highly recommend.
