I flew into Bremen to meet up with friends to head to Wacken Open Air, which is about 2 hours away. I was initially only supposed to be there for a night, but had to extend due to weather. The staff happily dealt with me lingering around asking for late checkouts whilst waiting for the updates to find out if I needed to go extend every day or not.

Got stuck in Bremen on the day I arrived in Germany for the first time because of the DB strike. Meninger was just close to the the main railway station. It's a proper hotel, I was lucky to have the dormitory rooms available. They were just as good as any other room, well kept. Although they accept only cards, receptionist was really helpful in making me feel at home on the first day here in this new land. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Bremen.
