Just the old building (type boarding school - had been a convent) in the old Abbey court was worth seeing and staying in. The location could not have been better, stepping out of the door you had the salisbury Cathedral in front of you. Bed was comfortable to sleep, good shower (we had own bathroom), we even appreciated the lack of television.

Spacious and relaxing grounds with lovely open view towards Salisbury cathedral. Complimentary drink coupon upon arrival was a nice touch. Convenient quiet location with a choice of 2 different pleasant routes to walk into the town centre. If you can tolerate endless, somewhat claustrophobic spiral staircases, the Salisbury Cathedral special tower tour is well worth it
