The best inn I have ever stayed inn! It's a 1500s building and it is gorgeous and fascinating inside. So much to look at, lovingly and tastefully restored and preserved. See pics. Fantastic staff. I didn't use the pub / restaurant but it looked superb. I did have breakfast which was 10 out of 10, see pic. The location is in the heart of the historic old town, all the streets are narrow and quaint, I managed to find parking up the street, but the whole area wasn't designed for motor cars. Be aware that the many steep stairs are not suitable if you have mobility issues or heavy suitcases, so if that's you call them to discuss your options. See the pic of the paper they gave me to help me navigate the labyrinth! Overall the best historic property I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot. Don't miss staying here!

The Compasses er viktorísk krá sem er full af sögu og hefð en það er staðsett í rólega smáþorpinu Littley Green í hjarta Essex-sveitarinnar. Very accomodating room, squeaky clean, good food in the pub. They even reserved a table for us, which they normally don't do.

Þetta fjölskyldurekna Public House er staðsett í litla þorpinu Sheering og býður upp á 12 en-suite svefnherbergi. The staff is simply GREAT and lovely. I had diner there, it was very convenient and very good. My room was big, clean, the bed so confortable that I slept all through the night. The ambiance was cool, really all of my stay was a delight.

Check in was very straightforward. The decor was very tasteful. The best hotel breakfast I think I’ve ever had. Made to order and had gluten free options too. Even had air on in the rooms!

In picturesque Thaxted, Swan Hotel is just 8 miles from London Stansted Airport. The historic coaching inn features a charming restaurant, real ale bar and elegant rooms with free Wi-Fi. I liked everything, from the staff, the room, the breakfast, everything

Kings Arms Hotel er staðsett í Stansted Mountfitchet, 200 metrum frá Stansted Mountfitchet-stöðinni og 14 km frá Audley End House. Það státar af verönd, veitingastað, bar og ókeypis WiFi. Everything, although as we were on the top floor, it did get quite warm overnight and the fan provided didn’t quite cool the room down. Nevertheless, this summer (Autumn, as it’s now mid Sep) has been an Indian one at that with days exceeding 30+ deg.

What a fantastic place, decor , facilities , food all to a very high standard. Lost of history dating back to 1500s. Floor tilting which all adds to the character. Shower room excellent to a very high standard. Food in the restaurant was amazing can’t wait to visit again. Great menu. Room very quiet, overlooking the church gardens.
