The hospitality of the host Michelle was outstanding. We arrived at 1:00 am and she was wide awake, waiting for us and giving directions how to reach to the property, took us to the room and made us feel secure & comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful, top of the world. We have been to many part of the world and stayed at many 5 star hotels. But the breakfast served at the Inn on Stephens Bay better than the 5 star hotels. It was healthy, just melts down in the mouth. The lawn and outside of the property is well maintained.

El Nimpkish Hotel está situado en primera línea de playa en Alert Bay, en la isla Cormorant. Todas las habitaciones cuentan con TV de pantalla plana con canales por cable y baño privado. What a fantastic place! Very warm welcome from Penba and his husband who are managing this beautiful hotel. We looooved the oceanfront outside patio which got everything to feel cozy and relaxed : hammock, comfy sofas, you name it! Very quiet, room and the whole hotel was sparkling! Penba is also a wonderful cook so we had dinner in the bright living room, gazing at the ocean while eating a super flavourful homemade palek paneer! I walked all along the seaside and up to see the world's tallest totem pole, and looked at all the Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw art and history along the walk. So instructive and beautiful! Did not go to the cultural center as I arrived too late but it is a good excuse to come back and stay at the Nimpkish Hotel again!

This is probably in the top 3 hotels I've ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. The building itself, the view, the hospitality, the rooms, the beautiful flower garden along the porch, etc. I have only good things to say about this place and we will be returning sometime.

Everything about the driftwood by the sea is amazing. Perfect location, short walk into town plus the beach is right across the road. The owners are beyond kind and helpful and have made it feel like a second home. With cooking facilities for those nights you need a home cooked meal!

El Tofino Paddler's Inn se encuentra en el paseo marítimo del centro de Tofino. El edificio tiene mucho carácter al tener unos 100 años de antigüedad y ser el hotel original de la ciudad. Great location, kitchen was great, beds were comfy & free coffee was delicious. John was so welcoming during our check in.

Quality Inn se encuentra en Nanaimo, a 12 km de Wildplay Element Park y a 3,3 km de Petroglyph Park. Exactly what we were looking for. A nice, clean, comfortable room located near downtown and the harbor for a reasonable price with parking. A few semi-related tips. Neck Point Park is about 15-20 mins away with incredible views of the ocean and potential to spot marine life (we just missed a pod of orcas). Also the Save on Food in the Nanaimo suburb was the best grocery store we visited in the island/Vancouver/Calgary if you are cooking your own meals.
