Great location. Close to the beach, restaurants, bars and on a bus route. Towels are provided for all guests. Lockers located outside the rooms with keys. Mattresses old. Each room has a bathroom and AC.

Mauro, Mila, and their two beautiful boys are such kind people and fantastic hosts! They were very communicative and helpful throughout my stay, they even gave me a ride to the bus terminal during the transportation workers strike... what a lifesaver! I also really enjoyed practicing my Portuguese with the longterm tenants: I really felt like part of the family here! The hostel itself is in an impressive historic building right in the middle of downtown, with a well equipped kitchen, fresh drinking water, lockers, fan, and great WiFi. I got the dorm room to myself while I was here which was a nice bonus. Sao Luis has a rich culture and long, fascinating history. There are many museums, parks, bars, restaurants, and historic sites just blocks away from the hostel. I highly recommend this spot for any traveller looking for cultural immersion!
