Set in Takeley and with Hatfield Forest reachable within 5 km, Old Thatch Bambers Green offers express check-in and check-out, allergy-free rooms, free bikes, free WiFi and a garden. I booked this place for my adult son because he had an early flight the next morning. He messaged me whilst he was there and told me how comfortable and well located it was. Parking for his car and easy access to Stansted. Perfect.

We were amazed at the utter wonderfulness of this lovely place - the hosts were friendly and helpful in every way, the room beautiful, clean and tastefully decorated; our stay was rounded off by a delicious breakfast that really set us off for a day's walking. Brunton House is a family-run guest house situated in the heart of Clacton-on-Sea, only a 5-minute walk from Clacton-on-Sea Rail Station and the beach. Parking and Wi-Fi are free. The breakfast in the room was great, the room was so clean and spacious. The shower was hot. Close to the seafront and town. Great hosts. Best we have stayed at and will be returning.
