Really nice B&B, me and my dog had a lovely stay! It was just for one night, I could stay here for longer! Owner is very friendly, lots of food and drinks in the kitchen. Very dogfriendly, treads for the dog, comfy bed, nice towels! Nice garden, enclosed garden where your dog can run free. In the area you can walk nicely

The best inn I have ever stayed inn! It's a 1500s building and it is gorgeous and fascinating inside. So much to look at, lovingly and tastefully restored and preserved. See pics. Fantastic staff. I didn't use the pub / restaurant but it looked superb. I did have breakfast which was 10 out of 10, see pic. The location is in the heart of the historic old town, all the streets are narrow and quaint, I managed to find parking up the street, but the whole area wasn't designed for motor cars. Be aware that the many steep stairs are not suitable if you have mobility issues or heavy suitcases, so if that's you call them to discuss your options. See the pic of the paper they gave me to help me navigate the labyrinth! Overall the best historic property I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot. Don't miss staying here!

Just a minute's walk to West Cliff Beach, Clacton-On-Sea town centre and Clacton-On-Sea pier, The Sandrock has free WiFi. A full English breakfast is freshly cooked and served every morning. Christine and Roberto were perfect hosts. Nothing at all was too much trouble. Will definitely return *****
