I was in a small single room with shared bathroom which is perfect if you are on a budget. 10 minute walk to the train station and 1 minute to the beach, shops, busses, pier, arcades etc. There are also large rooms for families and couples.

You can play darts at the inn. The best inn I have ever stayed inn! It's a 1500s building and it is gorgeous and fascinating inside. So much to look at, lovingly and tastefully restored and preserved. See pics. Fantastic staff. I didn't use the pub / restaurant but it looked superb. I did have breakfast which was 10 out of 10, see pic. The location is in the heart of the historic old town, all the streets are narrow and quaint, I managed to find parking up the street, but the whole area wasn't designed for motor cars. Be aware that the many steep stairs are not suitable if you have mobility issues or heavy suitcases, so if that's you call them to discuss your options. See the pic of the paper they gave me to help me navigate the labyrinth! Overall the best historic property I have ever stayed in, and I have travelled a lot. Don't miss staying here!

In the restaurant, a Continental and cooked breakfast is available in the morning for a surcharge. Muesli, yoghurt and fresh fruit is also available. Using fresh, local produce there is also a lunch and dinner menu available. The menu also includes a ‘Huffer’ filled sandwich, popular with the locals. Everything about the property was brilliant as it usually is. Lovely setting, lovely food, lovely room and friendly staff.

A full English breakfast is freshly cooked and served every morning. A continental option, with items such as cereals and toasts, is also available. Christine and Roberto were perfect hosts. Nothing at all was too much trouble. Will definitely return *****
