I appreciated the kindness of the hosts, who were very welcoming and open to give suggestions to help making my trip in Devon and Cornwall memorable. The room was quiet, as well as the rest of the house located close to any shop, bar or restaurant of the village, but still in a very quiet area. I could chose among a wide variety of food for breakfast, and it was very fresh and good. You feel comfortable like at home, and I would recommend this place to stay for anyone visiting the village.

We recently had the pleasure of staying for three days at a stunning Victorian-style Rockvale House bed and breakfast, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the kind and generous owners made us feel completely at home, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. The house itself is a beautiful example of Victorian architecture, with cozy, impeccably clean rooms adorned with great furniture that enhances the historic charm. The hot showers were a comforting end to our chilly evening walks in the scenic neighborhood. Breakfast each morning was a delightful affair with a variety of delicious options, perfectly starting our day. The views from the property are undoubtedly the best in town, offering a picturesque setting that is both tranquil and inspiring. The location is superb, with the unique addition of an old-style cinema just 50 meters away. We enjoyed a lovely evening watching a movie with locals, which added a special touch to our experience. The area around the property offers great walks, ideal for exploring the local beauty and serene landscape. This place not only provided a wonderful stay but also left us with beautiful memories. We are already planning our return to what we consider the best place we've stayed in. Highly recommend for an authentic and exceptionally comfortable getaway!

Amazing location, perfect to explore the area from. Great value for money, breakfast was awesome and the whole experience was just brilliant! Friendly and welcoming host, you can feel the heart and soul of the place the entire time you are there. I have never given a perfect 10 so readily. Once you have successfully managed the steep driveway to the house, Wendy and Steven welcome you into their very cosy B2B. The rooms are large, very clean, the beds comfortable and tastefully decorated. The breakfast also left nothing to be desired. But we especially liked the hospitality, the great conversations and very good tips. Many thanks also for the delicious banana bread - we still need the recipe! Many greetings from Switzerland!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very knowable about the old building and area. Food was home cooked and presented well. Very good value for. Would highly recommend a stay. Rooms were exceptionally clean and well presented with complementary beverages and health products.

location is superb, easy access to the coast path and an easy drive to Exmoor. Breakfast was great, excellent quality. As a vegetarian who dislikes meat substitute products I often find problems when eating out, but not at Longmead House. The best breakfast I've had when away for years.
