I recently had the pleasure of staying in a guest room in the Glenholme in Kendal. This lovely Bed and Breakfast was a delightful experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the warm and welcoming ambiance of the place from owner of the house. The guest room itself was simply beautiful, comfortable furnishings, and all the amenities I could have possibly needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and provided a great night's sleep, and the linens and towels were soft. What really made the stay special, though, were all the little touches that the hosts had thoughtfully included to make me feel right at home. From the fresh flowers at the breakfast table table to the fluffy bathrobe, everything was designed to make me feel pampered and well taken care of. And of course, the breakfast was simply amazing! Everything was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. The guest room was simply lovely, and the hosts went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The breakfasts were so well organized and delicious. We loved that we could order the night before and everything arrived promptly and to our specifications. The location was brilliant with only a short walk to the train station and the meeting point for the 10 Lakes Mountain Goat Tour.

Location was ideal- 20 mins from station, 8 mins from the centre of the town. You can hear the river outside with a good view if it! Exceptionally friendly and warm service from the guesthouse owner. The room had everything I needed. Very warm and comfortable.

Our stay was a last minute arrangement due to the rail strikes. Inoka couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. Everything has been thought about, including water bottles, fan, all the toiletries you could need including courtesy packs of anything you might have forgotten. Breakfast was excellent- fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts juices as well as a choice of cooked breakfasts. Fresh fruit made available during the day and plates/cutlery left out in case you wanted to order a takeaway. However the guest house is conveniently located for the town centre and several eateries. Thoroughly recommend and good value for money.

I was looking for a not expensive stay for a couple of days and Sundial Stays matched, and exceeded, my needs perfectly; communication with the host was excellent all information provided accurate and all instructions clear and easy to follow; There was a lot of nice touches - tea & coffee, own fridge (I did not need to use it but if you stayed longer that it's perfect!), washing liquid, hair dryer - really a much more than I expected and I was nicely surprised. There was a booklet with all important information & recommendations; Car Park was important and it was also provided (make sure you talk to Hannah in advance and book your space as they are limited; but other car park options are also available, so in busy periods you are not stuck and I'm sure Hannah will help you out if you are not familiar with the area!) You can see there was a lot of personal touch and thought put into this and I appreciate it very much. And finally: excellent access to the Internet, which in my case was a must and came with no additional charge! If I am in Kendal again (it's a very nice town) I will definitely book this place again.

Location is perfect; the size of the room is perfect and bed is very comfortable; the breakfast is fabulous and the staff is very friendly.

Must be one of the loveliest moments in the Lake District for us. Cosy atmosphere, great food and wonderful staff and a beautiful dog, everything is perfect for people who live in urban areas. The location is a bit far from the Lake District but worth staying there as a hub if you drive a car.

Very spacious, clean and well equipped. Great breakfast. We also had lunch and dinner couple of times and were always very satisfied with the food and service.
