Host was lovely and we kept in contact throughout the stay to book breakfasts each day. The breakfasts were exceptional - good value for money - beautifully cooked full breakfast or scrambled egg and smoked salmon, for example. Plenty of tea/coffee and toast/croissants/cereal/yoghurts/fruit too. Would 100% come back again. Thanks to Greig for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming Skye too!

It was a great opportunity to stay in a renovated castle, with the use of two floors & the roof top which had excellent views over Edinburgh & Blackness Bay. The 7ft bed was really comfy & basically we had everything we needed including loads of breakfast & lots of hot water for a relaxing bath after a long day. Our hosts Iain & Sue were also lovely and made us feel very welcome indeed.

In all honesty, I stumbled upon this hotel quite by chance after my travels across Scotland. Unfortunately, I had only a day before my departure, but I would have gladly savored the opportunity to spend more time within its walls. This exceptional hotel is nestled in a quaint location not far from Edinburgh. The picturesque surroundings of the hotel, adorned with the beauty of nature, bestow upon it a charming and cozy aura reminiscent of a stately castle hotel, replete with its own unique attributes. The ambiance strikes an artful balance between historical heritage and modern comforts, without compromising its inherent historical significance. Remarkably, the hotel even boasts the convenience of an elevator! What truly sets this establishment apart from a plethora of others is the impeccably trained and courteous staff, representing an ideal fusion of attentive warmth and refined formality, so often associated with this esteemed nation.

Stunning Stables Cottage in East Lothian Country Estate ligger i North Berwick i Lothian-regionen og har terrasse. Location was amazing, really quiet and scenic and great walks for our dog. Private tennis court was a bonus. Only 15 min drive to North Berwick. Lots to see and do in the area.
