When booking I requested if we could get a particular room that featured on their website as my partner really liked the look of the room, and they were able to deliver. They were very gracious and I greatly appreciate them going through the effort of acquiring us the preferred room.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. The room was spacious but felt it needed updating/ decorating. It felt tired. The carpet looked like a crime scene. Wear slippers to avoid getting your feet dirty.

Wonderful village, deep in the Surrey countryside, popular with mountain bikers, walkers and ordinary people like me! Surrounded by the Surrey Hills, there are some terrific walks and the climb to the top of Pitch Hill is well worth it. There’s a great little shop, but most important of all, a stupendous pub, the Hurtmore Inn, whose restaurant has the biggest plates of food I have ever seen, and whose waiters (Italian) are totally adorable. The Hurtmore Hotel is just behind the pub and is also excellent.
The Hurtwood Hotel is an exceptional place to stay. All the staff are warm and friendly, the room we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is amongst the best I have ever had. My partner and I had high expectations having read other reviews prior to our stay, these were met and exceeded! Final point worth noting is that Peaslake is a lovely place to stay, with some excellent loyal walks and a charming village store right opposite the hotel!
Excellent location in the heart of the Surrey Hills, with great walks and rides (off-road and road) from the hotel. Dog friendly hotel and friendly staff. Food also pretty good and the room was well furnished and a good size (poor shower was only gripe) . Great village store with lots of options for picnics and food on the go if you’re cycling or walking. A lovely weekend break post Lockdown
This was our second time staying at the Hurtwood, with a few years between visits. We have recommended it to friends and finally had time to come back ourselves. The warm welcome was just as we remembered. The room was spacious and the cooked breakfast was excellent. For exploring the walks from Peaslake the location cannot be better. Parking on site is easy and plentiful.
The location in the forest is beautiful. Peaslake is one of my favourite villages. The exterior of the hotel is first class. The room was comfortable and staff were very friendly. Good beer selection at the bar, tho I believe the bar/restaurant is a depart business to the hotel. Full English breakfast was substantial in the morning.
Comfortable modern clean, lovely to have iron and ironing board - needs adding to the spec. A toaster would have been a bonus. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Food good and Peaslake itself such a delightful place, it really ticked the box for us as we were attending a wedding a few miles away.
the hurtwood hotel is really well run and cozy beautiful location in the heart of the Surrey hills. we stayed in the old school house with pets and young children and felt welcome throughout our stay.
The hotel and location were wonderful. The staff member who looked after us, Georgia could not have been more helpful or lovely and took great care of me and my daughter during our stay.
Claire was very welcoming and helpful. Such a peaceful village, excellent walks from the hotel, just what we needed. Excellent breakfast (with veggie option) kept us going all day!
