Dorking is a delightful historic market town with a variety of shopping and excellent pubs and restaurants. A short distance away are some terrific places to visit, including Box Hill and Polesden Lacey, two National Trust areas that provide awesome hiking and areas to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside.

The hotel was very cold, including corridors and public areas. There was a fireplace with plenty of wood, but nobody had made a fire, which would have been very welcome!! The room was extremely cold and the handrail in the bathroom only heated up half way, the other part was stone cold.

We stayed in a country manor house completely surrounded by fields and public pathways. Great location for those who like to explore the countryside. We did not make it into town, but driving through it looked lovely and wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of Dorking. Would go back again. We had meals in Wotton Hatch Pub, and Abinger Hatch Pub - delicious food and very friendly staff. Both beautiful country pubs and well worth a visit.

The location is quite unusual being situated in a working vineyard and it's far enough from the main road for it not to be noisy. It's great being able to go on walks straight from the hotel and yet be within a short drive from Dorking town. The room was comfortable and well equipped, and the dining area was also a very nice space both during the day and in the evening. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful and accommodating. It was lovely to have a bed, towel and bowls provided for my dog.

The hotel is in a fabulous location on the north side of the lovely town of Dorking. Walkers and runners will love it here, there are great routes literally 'on your doorstep'. My room was massive and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and served until 9:30 in the morning which I appreciated after a light jog up to Ranmore and back! The views from the restaurant area were stunning on a lovely clear November morning. Yes - as you may have gathered, I loved my one night stay!

I loved staying in a place that had such history in Dorking. The location is central and close to everything (albeit on a slightly rushing street), and the rooms are pretty nicely done up for such an old place. The towels and bathrobe are giant and fluffy, and everything was very clean. The range of breakfast options was really nice. Service in the restaurant was a bit sluggish when we came in for desserts one night, but they were worth waiting for.

The property is beautifully appointed (and well maintained ) and had everything we needed for our weekend break. Dorking town is only a 5 minute walk away but the property is situated in a very quiet area, which gave the feeling of being in the countryside rather than a town. James is the perfect host, ensuring we had all the information needed and available if we needed him but left us to enjoy his lovely Garden Studio.

We decided to come to Dorking for an overnight stay as we were heading to denbies. Staff at both the White Horse and the dozen were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. Only gripe was there was no tea /coffee facilities but very minor matter. Location is ideal for the town centre and not too far from Denbies. Woupd happily recommend or return again.

The staff were extremely lovely and looked after us very well, I felt they went above and beyond to look after us. The hotel has a very good bar which were met some friends in for a few hours and the food in the restaurant was outstanding both dinner and breakfast. We were able to enjoy the pool and facilities in the leisure club and walk round the stunning grounds.

It is a modern apartment that needs a bit of attention. The apartment is in a great location with a take away shop and convenience store across the road. There is a lovely park and play area down a walkway next to the building. it is an easy walk to town for anything you need. The train station is not far for transport to London.

We loved the hotel, it is old and a little dirty but it's a great location and has very friendly staff. Dog friendly which is good apart from not really allowing the dog in the bar area. The pool looked great although we didn't use it.
