We toured Ireland for two weeks, resting every other night in a different B+Bs. StayLagom was by far the best accommodation we stayed in. Although “Lagom” means something like “just right” in swedish as we found out, we felt like getting more than we paid for. The communication with the host was lagom - not intrusive nor repellent (as we experienced before). After we let ourselves in via electronic key lock we received a massage later that night asking if we settled in fine - just lagom for us. The size of the bed and its mattress was more than lagom. This was unfortunate, because we overslept and could not take advantage of the large kitchen area provided to the extent we would have liked due to the checkout time. The kitchen area provided (among others) fresh bred that actually tasted good - free use. The manor house was apparently freshly renovated. This was obviously done by someone with knowledge in the field of architecture, interior design and landscaping. Too bad we could only stay for a night.

We felt so lucky to be staying in such a beautiful home. The interior decor was stunning and looked like new.
There was even a lounge area for guests to use.
Our room was just beautiful with a huge en-suite room.
Breakfast was exceptional - we were introduced to overnight oats, which were a taste sensation and now a staple breakfast meal. I'd always been put off thinking it would be like eating cold porridge - oh how wrong I was.
Absolutely loved staying here, and we will be coming back - we still have the trip to Rathlin Island to do.

I have travelled to Ballycastle many times - for its size the town has many amenities such as resturants, pubs, cafes, etc. The natural beauty in the area is great including the beach area, Fair Head rock formation, and the rolling hills in the area.

Sharon was a very attentive host providing us with excellent tips on where to eat, places to visit & with the weather being a total washout on our first day, with high winds, & heavy showers, she provided advice on some quality alternative experiences.
A superb host, providing clean, luxurious accommodation in a location 5 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the town, with a breakfast to set you up to reach base camp on Everest...we would definitely recommend

This is our 2nd trip to Ballycastle and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
However, what we didnt enjoy was the fact, that we had a fully electric car and out of 3 electric chargers there was just one but permanently out of order!!!! which is just unacceptable.
Whats more,Bushmills also didn't have a working EV charger so we were very stressed out looking for a working charger the whole afternoon which with 2 small kids it's no fun!The nearest EV charger is in Portrush so one has to plan it's journey.

Great little seaside town!
Great little seaside town! Just ask Irene what to do and where to eat, she has fantastic tips!
Town has a laundromat which was very convenient for us.
Only a 3 min drive to the beach from Irene’s and easy to get around
We went to O’Connor s pub for dinner, great food and a good variety. Really fun atmosphere, and even hard our first Guinness here
Glass Island was a joy in and of itself. Sharon and her husband treated us so kindly. Their suggestions for Ballycastle were spot on and their advice for The Giants Causeway and the rope bridge were truly insightful.
The food was grand.
Prior to our arrival, Sharon kindly called to warn me regarding some traffic patterns in Ballycastle that could have affected our approach to Glass Island. Truly thoughtful.
Tasha is a wonderful host! She was so helpful with restaurant and touring suggestions. We enjoyed our conversations about life in Ireland and our many things in common. Our Irish breakfast was delicious and the overall feeling was comfortable. Our bed was a little soft for us but we slept fine. Thanks so much Tasha and David for a fun stay in Ballycastle and your lovely Carnately Lodge.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay with Chrissie & Chris. We felt immediately at home and were delighted by their personal touches and willingness to share time with us. Every aspect of our room, breakfasts and location for walking to local pubs and restaurants was great. What a way to wrap up a 16 day trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland!
Fantastic accommodation, kids had a separate room (and bathroom which was excellent). Lovely location, very clean and everything we needed was there. Easy access to the whole of the causeway coast and 3 miles from Ballycastle. Host was excellent and really quick when responding to queries.
The Rose Garden Room with hot tub was perfect for a night away. Situated just a 20 min walk from Ballycastle centre.
The self contained studio had everything we needed.
Fiona is a great host, she was very accommodating to assist with us moving our booking.
Really recommend a stay here
Perfect accommodation for a family. Plenty of room, very clean, fully stocked for making meals, owner very responsive. Loved the welcoming snacks! Lots of room to park a car, located in a nice neighborhood. If we could have, we would have stayed longer.
Our stay in Ballycastle was great. William the host was super helpful. The cottage is very clean,, witheverything a family will need, together with lots of toys and extras to keep children happy. Would highly recommend.
Great location for traveling around the North of Ireland. Valarie and John were excellent hosts. Great view of Rathlin island from room and property. Tasty and substantial breakfast for a great morning start.
We just love the vibe! The owners and hosts are really friendly and invest a lot of their time making every stay as perfect as they can make it. This is our favourite place to stay in Ballycastle.
Apartment is in a good location in Ballycastle, the bedrooms are nice and it’s a good size with a well equipped kitchen. Our host John contacted us with information before arrival which was good.
Fantastic location for a wedding at Marine hotel.
Brilliant apartment, super modern and stylish throughout and very very clean, would 100% recommend to friends and family.
