Very friendly, approachable, and helpful staff. Comfortable, good-sized room and bed. Excellent inclusive breakfasts and well-priced additionally-charged evening meals. Enjoyed the Pub's beer and wine. Room and shower room/toilet facilities all worked and were clean. Ideally positioned for the holiday aims we had. We were walking the Thames Path / English Coastal Path and recommend the Pub to others doing the same, especially for the more remote path topography between Gravesend and Grain, as the Pub is only a mile inland from the Cliffe coastal fort. There are also marshland nature reserves nearby and two other way-marked trails (Heron & Saxon Shore Way). The Pub held a Classic Car Show during our stay which offered added interest and atmosphere.

The property is clean and I was allocated the room next to the bathroom. The bathroom is clean as well with clean towels left in my room. The kitchen utensils are also clean when you want to warm your food.
