We loved staying at Batur Cottage! The hosts were really great; super kind, attentive and accommodating! We felt really taken care of and they recommended us some nice places. The breakfast was always really nice. The location was rather remote, which we didn't mind as it was a perfect break from the crowded tourist spots on Bali.

It's a cozy clean and tidy room. With a great view of a mountain. The owners Astri and Suba helped us to arrange to go up Mount Batur and took us to the hotsprings after. They also drove us everywhere we wanted to go. I also fell and injured myself when coming down Mount Batur and that night at 9:30pm she arranged a masseuse to message my injury and the next day they drove me to the clinic to call a doctor that prescribed me the medicine I needed to manage my pain. They really go above and beyond to help everywhere they could. They are such beautiful and caring souls. I am so greatful to you. Thank you for everything Astri and Suba

Very cute cottages with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The owner of the cottages and her family were very hospitable and warmhearted and helped us with everything we asked for. The breakfast was very good as well.

It were a few great days. The family is really nice and helpful. They cooked for us during the whole day. They also drove with us by car to different places which they could recommend. It is a really nice athmosphere and calm place in the middle of the family.

The rooms were clean, modern and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Amazing food, arranging our mount batur trek with an incredible guide and even setting up a campfire for us. Couldn’t possibly recommend staying here more for your trip to Mount Batur.

Flies... Recommendation to clean the moscito net in rooms from time to time and wash them ;-) You could install an insect screen on the restaurant veranda to prevent flies.

Unfortunately, my friend sprained her ankle and the owners kindly agreed to drive us to the hospital. Thank you very much for our stay, even if things could of course go better due to external circumstances and the weather, but you can't do anything about it. Terima Kasih 😊

Too many flies but that isn't their fault - the area is like that. The hotter it gets, the more flies you see. Worth bringing a fly net to cover your face.

It was well priced for the facility. It is a cozy facility maintained by a family. The owner and his wife were extremely helpful. They helped us arrange a guide to Mt Batur and helped with transportation arrangement from Ubud to Batur and Batur to Sanur the next day.

It is hard to get to the spot (taxi driver refused to bring us up the hill because the road was awful), many flies outside (not dangerous but can be annoying), impossible to sleep at night because of barking dogs

Road leading to the cottage is very narrow off road farmer trail, very dark at night looks scary if you not familiar with the area.

Simple Cottage run by couple with their little daughter surrounded by farming area. A place good for short stay for those want to hike Mt. Batur and explore nearby.

It is very cozy, surrounded by beautiful mountains, very calm, the owner family is extremely friendly and kind, they helped us to find the tour guide, provided sticks for hiking and kindly helped with all our questions. And also I like the blanket, it’s so soft so it’s a please to sleep in this bed. It’s my third time I come here. Definitely recommend and in case I go for Batur hiking again, I’ll chose this place for sure, love it💗

Keep in mind it's a budget location. There are a lot of flies. And I mean a lot, I've never seen so many flies around my or on my body. There's not really anything to do around and the road to the cottage isn't built yet. If you're coming for mount Batur, I'd recommend staying only one night.

The hosts were really friendly and there for you every step of the way. They even came with snacks during the day, local specialties for you to try. We booked the tour to mount Batur with them and it was handled well. The breakfast is also really good and abundant - definitely try their banana pancake. We even got to use the pool of the guesthouse next door, and the food their was delicious too! The restaurant down the hill, 5-10 min walk, Good Karma Waroeng, is exceptional!

We went here before our hike up Mt.Batur. It is a perfect location for a relaxing evening before waking up very early to catch the sunrise up in the mountain. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They will help you with literally anything.

The place is very beautiful. The family of owner is extremely friendly❤️ They helped us to find a guide for our hiking for very good price. They provided us some food and lots of tee for free and helped us ride the bike for the hard part part of road when it was raining.
