My double room was large and very comfortable. I was greeted by the loveliest receptionist who arranged an early check in for me. Continental breakfast was included with the room (not an extra £10 as I had thought it would be). The hotel is in a nice area, minutes walk from the tube station and a large Sainsbury’s grocery shop.

There is a main street within a short walk if you need to get any supplies; there seems to be a pretty good variety of eateries too, although we did not visit any on this visit. Only drive to get there it’s at motorway M1 and M2 getting to places by public transport would leave you walking around to get to your destination. The hotels are in the welcome break stops which means you should be driving there the locality is not vibrant so your not going to see people about and plan your trip.

Check in staff and check out staff very professional and friendly. It was far better value than a hotel room in London. One small thing - could stops/cups be put under the castors on the beds as they tended to "fly" across the room when one sits on the side :) Otherwise beds very, very comfortable as well as the duvets. Great nights sleep.

There was a lovely area of decking with table and chairs which we would have used had the weather been better. Inside, it is very comfortable with a good size bedroom and kitchen/sitting area. We find the area a perfect place to get into London - we walked to High Barnet underground station, around 20 minutes.
