Beautiful, busy and clean city. The huge ornate buildings, the restaurants and the cafes are many. Service staff in any establishment I visited were all accommodating with English. My first visit to Madrid and surrounding areas. So much to see, lots of culture, history, The Prado and celebrations (We happened to be there on May 2nd, to see the festivities). What impressed me above all else is how affordable Madrid is, especially compared to London and Paris, Had I known, I would have stayed longer and I look forward to returning. Looking back, I felt we just scraped the surface of this great city.
