My attraction to Barnet is Oak Hill College, where friends are studying for their degrees in Theology. Barnet itself has nice cafes and restaurants and is a relatively safe and quiet area with easy access to London and Heathrow.

Beautiful grounds and an attractive lodge for a quiet, peaceful visit, just off the M25. A great place to stay outside of London, with a direct tube line to South Kensington if you wish to visit the Natural History Museum, Science Museum or the Royal Albert Hall.

There is a main street within a short walk if you need to get any supplies; there seems to be a pretty good variety of eateries too, although we did not visit any on this visit. The tube is about 6-8 mins walk depending on your stride length....so all in all it is a good base to explore as well.

whilst on booking .com website it states free parking no reservation needed we received parking fine.we had registered car at check in.when we queried it with hotel they told us to send in photo evidence of the fine letter. so they can cancel it.we are waiting confirmation of this.the fact they have the ability to do this begs the question why say free parking then subject patrons to this upset

Only drive to get there it’s at motorway M1 and M2 getting to places by public transport would leave you walking around to get to your destination. The hotels are in the welcome break stops which means you should be driving there the locality is not vibrant so your not going to see people about and plan your trip.

Lovely hotel with friendly team of staff. Blonde lady on Reception particularly helpful. Room much larger than expected, very clean and we had a comfy quiet nights sleep even though it was a Saturday night. Before we arrived I was a bit unsure how good location would be for getting into central London but buses were very frequent with bus stop just 1min walk from hotel and nearest tube only 3 stops from Camden so perfect. Fan put in room was very welcome as was a warm day. Would be happy to recommend to anyone.

It's a nice secluded location away from the busy high street. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Nice comfortable beds with quality linen. The common areas are also fresh and welcoming. Excellent value. About a 20 minute leisurely stroll along the High Street to High Barnet Tube Station. The real secret about this place is the restaurant. I highly recommend booking. I shared the squid and the duck salad. Exquisite. Staff and service were absolute top quality. Definitely going will stay when in the area again.

The Hotel was a transit hotel closer to the highway. If you go by car it is very convenient. If you would like to go by public transport you can use the number 113 BUS in which is direct to London downtown to Marble Arch. It is not too fast but the price per quality is good. Near the hotel are Burger King, Subway, Starbucks, and a little shops which is good if you are hungry. The bed was so good in the room. I received an extra pillow! The employees were so helpful and kind.

The counter staff especially the polish girls are very nice and the uniformed security guards are pleasant too. The 24 hour 7 days a week security is required to keep the homeless and mental health residents of the hotel under control. Frequently the Alarms go off a residents have fights and episodes that the security guards have to deal with and call police assistance on some occasions. Non existent bar or food.

The house is located very close to buses and an underground station. Easy to move around London. Although in a central area, the house is very quiet. The house was immaculate and homely. The owner was warm, friendly, and very helpful. We all slept well on comfortable beds. The facilities were very good. Breakfast had a good variety of produce and the hot food was cooked fresh and great quality.

Jasmine, our host, was beyond friendly, helpful and a great cook! She welcomed our family into her beautiful home and was very personable. The location is within minutes from the tube station, on a major line, and streamlined our transportation into London and around town. The home is quaint, clean and we'll laid out. She definitely takes pride in her home and gorgeous grounds/garden.

Very pleasant stay at the Glenlyn, a small family run hotel. It is a old building so the rooms were quite small but this is expected in this sort of hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Staff very pleasant. Great breakfast. Good location yards from North Finchley High Street with lots of places to eat and the tube station a 5 minute walk away.

I liked the accommodation and the staff, The location for us was excellent as it was near my son's flat. The room (room 2) was bigger than I thought it would be, it was en suite and very clean. I thought it was really good value in comparison to other hotels in the area. the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our 2 night stay

Friendly, warm & spacious. Parking available & easy commute into central but in a quieter area away from the “London buzz”. Breakfast was included but we didn’t sample it, although seemed to have the basics to start your day. Stayed in other guest houses in this location & this is definitely the nicest & most affordable.

A comfortable hotel in an excellent location for North London. I arrived on a stormy Sunday afternoon and surprisingly I discovered there were no Taxis available in the local area for more than an hour. The manager of the hotel kindly went the extra mile and picked me up from the nearest tube station.

The hotel looks great, the rooms are nicely decorated and well furnished. There was plenty of room and it felt very comfortable. Breakfast was great, with a wide choice of options, if you don't mind paying for it. I would definitely stay there again.

It was great to come back to the peace and quiet of Barnet, the apartment and the small but lovely garden space after an exciting day in London. The train connection was very good to city centre and Harvey and Hillary were totally welcoming and helpful.
